Richard Dawkins Apologises for Recent Events

Late on Sunday evening Richard Dawkins posted an apology about the events over the past few days, saying it has been hard on him due to his schedule on his book tour in Australia. He went as far as to thank the forum administrators for their efforts in the past, and yet to continue to support his web administrator, Josh Timonen.
What is absent within his apology, however, is any mention of a real and significant change of his decisions. From what he has posted it still sounds like the course of action taken is still the same that started the revolt at the Richard Dawkins Foundation forum in the first place, with only “window dressing” changes.
This journalist is in close contact with many of the ex-forum members to find out if this apology goes far enough to assuage their feelings, or if it is a case of “too little, too late”.
An aside: are all those journalists who slagged off the bottom-dwelling internet community going to apologise, now that it appears the forum members had a legitimate grievance?
